On March 27-28, 2024, the FIRST EXPERTS' WORKSHOP was organized within the ERASMUS+ project "UPGRADE - Enhancing Graduates' Employability Tracking in Moldova"" (reference number: 101129166), co-funded by the European Union.
The event was realized with physical presence of the partner institutions, and namely from Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), Moldova state University (USM), “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University (UPSC), P4 - Alecu Ruso State University of Balti (USARB), Cahul State University (USC), Comrat State University (KDU), Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova (MECRM), European Institute for Initiatives, Reforms and Education „ASPIRE” (ASPIRE) and expert from “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia (UAB) from Romania. The rest of European partners has joined the event online.
The workshop was opened with a speech by Olesea SIRBU, Coordinator of the UPGRADE project, Vice-Rector for International Relations and European Projects, with a presentation of the objectives, activities and important achievements of the project, followed by the speech given by the guests of honor of the conference, such as Alexandru STRATAN, Rector of the Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova, Nadejda VELIȘCO, Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Research from Moldova.
The first session, moderated by dr., associate professor, Rodica CRUDU, UPGRADE project manager, was dedicated to tracking the employability of higher education graduates from European and national perspective, during which partners had an occasion to learn about current employment placement mechanism for graduates of higher education institutions in the Republic of Moldova , information flow between universities and ministry for national data analysis on student data in perspective of the University from Valencia, tools and mechanisms for career orientation used by University "1 December 1918" from Alba Iulia, Romania and state of graduate tracking policies and practices in the EU Member States and EEA countries.
Second session, moderated by head of Marketing, Partnerships and Career Service, dr., associate professor, Oxana BARBANEAGRĂ was dedicated to experience of Moldovan universities in career guidance and monitoring the employability of their graduates, presented by representatives of Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Moldova State University, Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University, Alecu Russo State University of Balti, Cahul State University, Comrat State University.
The event was concluded by hands-on workshop, moderated by Tatiana BUCOS, PhD., Associate professor, Director of SMART Lab Center ASEM dedicated to recommendations to mainstream monitoring higher education graduates’ employability from perspective of university top management bodies, career guidance students’ employees and university graduates.
Second day of the event was dedicated to the job fair, which served as a platform to exchange innovation ideas and promote employment opportunities among university graduates, where all the participants and students had a chance to learn about best internship experience, the rights of young specialists at the workplace and tips and tricks on professional career development.
